NBR: O-rings for thermal resistance & reliability

If you need a sealing solution for large thermal applications, your choice should be NBR material. NBR, also known as nitrile rubber, is characterized by its exceptional thermal resistance. With a temperature range of -25°C to +100°C, an NBR O-ring is extremely versatile and suitable for many demanding environments.

How reliable are NBR sealing rings?

How reliable are NBR sealing rings?

Even under extreme conditions, an O-ring made of NBR exhibits temperature resistance while maintaining its shape and elasticity. An NBR seal is also characterized by excellent resistance to grease, oil, water, air and even petrol. Minimize the downtime of your applications with the robust and reliable NBR seals that we offer you here in the shop.

In general terms, NBR is perfect for applications where an NBR O-ring must be resistant to fats, oils, water, air and gasoline. A seal made of NBR stands out for its remarkable temperature range from -25 °C to +100 °C, which makes it applicable for a wide range of industrial applications. If your application meets these conditions and you require a long-lasting, reliable seal, durable NBR O-rings are an excellent choice. However, they are not suitable for use in direct sunlight.
For outdoor applications or in areas with direct sunlight, our EPDM O-rings are characterized by their excellent UV radiation and ozone resistance at temperatures from -50 °C to +150 °C. And for very demanding environments in which extreme temperature conditions, aggressive chemicals or high vacuum prevail, our diverse O-rings made of FFKM with exceptional chemical resistance and a temperature range of -20 °C to +325 °C are the optimal choice.
